Meta has released a new standalone iOS app called Forum without an official announcement. The app, which requires a Facebook account, is designed as a dedicated space for Facebook Groups and is being positioned as a competitor to community discussion platforms like Reddit.

The Forum feed is built around conversations from a user's groups, in contrast to Facebook's main algorithmic feed. Key features include an AI-powered "Ask" tool that can pull answers from across multiple groups and an AI assistant for group administrators to help with moderation. All activity on Forum syncs with the main Facebook app. A Meta spokesperson indicated the product is currently in a testing phase.
