Meta Platforms raised $25 billion through a six-part investment-grade bond sale. The company will use the proceeds to fund its artificial intelligence expansion.

Meta recently increased its 2026 capital expenditure forecast. The new spending range sits between $125 billion and $145 billion. This outlook triggered a 9.5% drop in Meta's stock price.

The bond sale drew nearly $100 billion in total demand. Orders reached four times the amount of debt on offer. Bond buyers charged higher premiums due to the uncertainty of Meta's long-term AI investments.
