Meta’s Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger platforms suffered a widespread global outage on Friday. Downdetector recorded a surge in reports from tens of thousands of affected users. Reported issues included unexpected account logouts, login error messages, and the inability to load content feeds.
Meta confirmed the disruption and stated that teams are working to resolve the issue. The outage impacted users across multiple countries, including the United States, India, and the United Kingdom.
Meta’s Ads Manager also experienced significant technical failures. These disruptions prevented advertisers from creating or managing their marketing campaigns.
