OpenAI and Anthropic now capture 89% of annualized revenue among top AI startups. This group includes 34 leading companies in the sector. Their combined annualized revenue reached nearly $80 billion. This total marks a 112% increase over the past six months.

Anthropic reportedly surpassed OpenAI in revenue by focusing on enterprise clients and API integration. OpenAI continues to grow primarily through consumer-facing ChatGPT subscriptions. Both companies share revenue with cloud partners Amazon, Google, and Microsoft for infrastructure and distribution.
