Microsoft and Amazon Web Services (AWS) launched a partnership to simplify multicloud networking. The collaboration introduces Azure Multicloud Interconnect and AWS Interconnect – multicloud. This service establishes direct, private, high-performance connections between the two platforms.
The new integrated service provisions private connectivity in minutes. Previous configurations required weeks or months to complete. A shared open API provides unified management, built-in security, and high availability.
The move responds to customer demand for flexibility across multiple cloud providers. The service specifically targets businesses running complex applications and AI workloads.
