Microsoft and Mayo Clinic are collaborating to develop an advanced AI model for the healthcare industry. This partnership combines Mayo Clinic’s de-identified clinical data and medical expertise with Microsoft’s cloud and AI engineering capabilities.
The project aims to support clinicians, enable earlier diagnoses, and provide personalized treatments to improve patient outcomes. Mayo Clinic will retain ownership of the resulting AI model.
Microsoft will distribute the model to global healthcare organizations via Azure Foundry APIs. Initial testing and refinement will occur within Mayo Clinic’s clinical environment to ensure safety and accuracy before wider deployment.
