Microsoft is reducing the price of its top gaming subscription tiers, a move that follows comments from new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma that the service had "become too expensive for players." The price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will decrease from $29.99 to $22.99 per month, and PC Game Pass will be lowered from $16.49 to $13.99 per month.
The price reduction comes with a significant change to the service's content offering. Future 'Call of Duty' titles will no longer be available on Game Pass on their launch day. Instead, they will be added to the service approximately one year after their initial release. This adjustment follows a significant price hike for the service just six months prior.
