Microsoft and Databricks extended their strategic partnership through the 2030s. The agreement enables enterprise customers to build AI applications using proprietary business data. Databricks will migrate its core business operations to the Azure Databricks platform.
Microsoft will integrate Databricks’ Data and AI platform natively across its product ecosystem. The Genie AI assistant and Unity AI Gateway will launch within Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams, and Copilot. Databricks plans to adopt the upcoming Cobalt 200 chip to enhance infrastructure performance.
