According to GitHub's status page, the platform is seeing error rates of approximately 20% for its web and API traffic. The issue is more severe for some downloads, with archive and raw repository content downloads experiencing a 50% error rate. The outage has also impacted GitHub's AI coding assistant, Copilot. Microsoft and GitHub are investigating the root cause but have not yet disclosed what triggered the disruption.
