The update introduces Sites for interactive workspaces and Annotations for targeted editing within complex documents. Annotations allow the AI to modify specific segments of files like spreadsheets without corrupting the remaining data.
This expansion intensifies competition with Anthropic, which offers similar enterprise and legal AI tools. OpenAI recently hired the founder of legal tech firm Ironclad to lead its new legal products division.
