OpenAI announced GPT-6 Astra, which president Greg Brockman describes as a generational leap toward artificial general intelligence.
The model achieves market-leading performance in software engineering, scientific research, and cybersecurity. Astra autonomously operates computer applications to complete multi-step professional tasks.
OpenAI utilized more than 100,000 GPUs for this training run. The project integrates with Stargate, a multi-billion dollar supercomputer collaboration with Microsoft.
Enterprise customers will receive initial access through a new early access program.
