SK Hynix is receiving unprecedented offers from global tech firms to fund production lines and manufacturing equipment. These proposals aim to secure a stable supply of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips for the artificial intelligence sector.

The offers include financing for dedicated production lines and multi-million dollar EUV lithography machines. Microsoft, Google, and Amazon are reportedly signing long-term supply contracts to mitigate severe component shortages.

SK Hynix remains cautious despite the influx of capital. Management is weighing the benefits against the risk of becoming dependent on specific buyers or facing downward price pressure.
