A growing number of jurisdictions have terminated or declined to renew agreements with the company amid public backlash. These cancellations stem from concerns over privacy and the misuse of automated license plate reader data by law enforcement.
Officials also cited high error rates and revelations regarding data sharing with federal agencies as primary reasons for ending the partnerships.
