Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) signed a $139 million contract with the state of Louisiana for a 10-year term.
The agreement provides public safety technologies to six state agencies across 64 parishes. This deal consolidates various technology suppliers onto a single integrated platform.
The state aims to eliminate data silos and enable real-time intelligence sharing between departments. Participating agencies include the State Police and the Department of Public Safety.
Motorola will deploy new body cameras and in-car video systems across the state. The contract also extends the maintenance agreement for the Louisiana Wireless Information Network (LWIN) for 10 years.
