Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince publicly criticized Vail Resorts' appointment of MGM Resorts CEO Bill Hornbuckle to its board of directors. In a social media post, Prince stated Hornbuckle was a "Perfect fit for Vail," adding, "Nobody is better at finding ways to be chintzy and extract your money without any real benefit."
The comment intensifies the ongoing dispute between Prince and the ski operator. Prince, a Park City native, has been a vocal critic of Vail's management and has made a $500 million offer for a community-backed purchase of Park City Mountain Resort, alleging the company has underinvested in the property. Vail Resorts announced Hornbuckle's appointment on July 30, and has previously rejected Prince's takeover proposal, stating the resort is not for sale.
