Netflix signed an exclusive, multi-year television partnership with Proximity Media.
Ryan Coogler, Zinzi Coogler, and Sev Ohanian founded the production company. Proximity’s television division will develop and produce original series solely for the streaming platform.
The agreement shifts Coogler’s television projects to Netflix following the expiration of a five-year deal with Disney. Coogler directed major hits including Black Panther and the Oscar-winning film Sinners.
Proximity Media previously produced series for Disney+ including Marvel’s Ironheart and Eyes of Wakanda.
