NANO Nuclear Energy subsidiary Secured Transportation Services (STS) completed three nuclear material transport missions. STS executed these operations for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
STS served as the prime logistics contractor for an international shipment of approximately 1.7 metric tons of High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) from Japan. The NNSA confirmed this as the largest single international uranium shipment in its history.
STS also managed the removal of highly enriched uranium from Venezuela. Additionally, the company completed a domestic HALEU delivery for advanced reactor fuel testing.
These operations occurred days after NANO Nuclear announced its acquisition of STS. The missions advance NANO Nuclear's strategy to build a vertically integrated fuel and transportation platform for the advanced nuclear sector.
