Australian AI infrastructure company Firmus Technologies partnered with Nvidia to build a data center in Batam, Indonesia. The facility aims to provide emerging AI firms with cost-effective access to high-performance computing.
Firmus will purchase Nvidia infrastructure to offer specialized cloud services. The project involves the delivery of 170,000 GPUs between the first quarter of 2027 and early 2028.
Firmus anticipates the partnership could generate up to $30 billion in revenue. This revenue projection covers the first six years of operation. Nvidia is an existing investor in Firmus.
