MediaTek inaugurated the first phase of a new research and development data center in Miaoli, Taiwan. This facility is the most advanced AI data center in Taiwan. It is the first in the region to deploy Nvidia’s DGX B200 platform using DGX SuperPOD infrastructure.
The center supports increasing demand for both edge and cloud AI development. It increases MediaTek's capacity for complex model training and inference workloads.
The project will be completed in three phases. It utilizes next-generation single-phase immersion cooling technology to improve energy efficiency. This investment facilitates MediaTek’s strategic expansion from edge computing into cloud AI.
