Verkada, an AI-powered physical security company, announced a new technical collaboration and strategic investment from NVIDIA. The partnership aims to accelerate the development and deployment of Verkada's "physical AI" platform. The platform currently runs on over 2.4 million devices. It operates across 170 countries.
The collaboration will involve Verkada leveraging NVIDIA's accelerated computing and foundation models to enhance its AI video analytics. This has already improved the precision of its AI-powered search for understanding spatial-temporal events by 68%. NVIDIA's investment follows a previous strategic investment from Alphabet's CapitalG late last year.
