Nvidia leads the industry with participation in a record 59 funding rounds this year. This volume exceeds the 53 deals the company completed in all of 2025. Major chipmakers such as AMD have also significantly increased their venture investment activity.
OpenAI’s $122 billion funding round, which included Nvidia as a lead investor, significantly influenced the total. Semiconductor giants have backed more than 60 startup financing rounds of $100 million or more so far this year.
