Skild AI has introduced its robotics foundation model, the 'Skild Brain,' designed as a single, general-purpose intelligence to operate a wide variety of robots without hardware-specific training. This "omni-bodied" system can control different form factors, including humanoids, quadrupeds, and robotic arms, enabling them to learn and adapt to new tasks.
The model is trained using a combination of large-scale simulations and data from trillions of human-action videos available online. Founded in 2023, the private company has received significant backing from investors including SoftBank, NVIDIA, and Bezos Expeditions, reaching a valuation of over $14 billion.
