SpaceX replaced several data center division leaders with executives from its rocket and satellite units. The management overhaul follows reports of civil engineering concerns and reliability issues at facilities in Tennessee and Mississippi. Rapid construction reportedly left some sites without adequate backup power or cooling systems.

SpaceX spent approximately $15.8 billion in the second quarter to expand its AI computing capacity. This massive infrastructure investment makes the company a critical customer for suppliers including Nvidia and Dell.

The project scale establishes SpaceX as a future competitor to established cloud providers such as Amazon and Google.
