Novo Nordisk presented positive REIMAGINE 1-3 Phase 3 trial results for CagriSema at the American Diabetes Association’s 2026 Scientific Sessions. The trials evaluated a once-weekly combination of semaglutide and cagrilintide in adults with type 2 diabetes.
The drug met all primary and secondary endpoints for reducing blood sugar (HbA1c) and body weight. CagriSema demonstrated statistically significant superiority in weight loss compared to semaglutide alone.
The highest dose achieved relative bodyweight reductions of 12.0% to 14.2% across patient populations. The safety profile remains consistent with existing GLP-1 and amylin-based treatments. Gastrointestinal issues were the most common side effects reported.
Novo Nordisk submitted CagriSema to the FDA for weight management in December 2025.
