Oklo Inc. is reportedly joining a $200 million Trump administration program to accelerate nuclear power development. This initiative aims to meet the escalating energy demands of artificial intelligence data centers.

The program includes advanced reactor developer X-Energy alongside technology giants Microsoft and Nvidia. An official announcement is expected as soon as July 22, 2026, at a Department of Energy summit.

Oklo shares jumped over 6% in after-hours trading on July 21. The stock rose an additional 4% in pre-market trading on July 22.

The partnership addresses growing concerns that rapid AI infrastructure expansion is straining the national power grid.
