Orange and Morrison have agreed to form a 50-50 joint venture to develop a data center platform in France.
The partnership is backed by a €3 billion investment program. Funding consists of existing Orange assets, equity from Morrison, and debt financing.
The venture aims to expand Orange's data center capacity tenfold. Total capacity will reach 400 megawatts to meet surging AI and cloud demand. Orange will contribute five of its current data centers to the platform.
Morrison will provide the equity funding for the expansion. The companies expect to sign the agreement by the end of 2026. Completion is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027, pending regulatory approvals.
