Porsche Automobil Holding SE is scaling back production plans to counter declining global demand for luxury vehicles. The company will deepen its collaboration with Audi to share costs and protect profit margins. Executives are currently reviewing plans for a new three-row SUV, a hypercar, and a luxury coupe.
Construction group Hochtief will replace Porsche SE in Germany’s blue-chip DAX index on June 22, 2026. Porsche SE will move to the MDax index of mid-cap companies following a regular review by Deutsche Boerse’s subsidiary. Index-tracking funds must rebalance their portfolios to accommodate the change.
