PepsiCo is deploying 41 driverless trucks across Arizona, Texas, and Arkansas in partnership with Gatik. This initiative represents the largest commercial deployment of autonomous freight to date.
The fleet consists of Isuzu trucks equipped with Gatik’s autonomous technology. These vehicles transport Frito-Lay products between distribution hubs and retail locations like Walmart.
The trucks have operated without human safety drivers since June 2025. This expansion builds on a partnership between PepsiCo and Gatik that began in 2022.
PepsiCo intends to use the multi-year agreement to improve supply chain consistency. The company also aims to add freight capacity and enhance customer service.
