Petrobras reached maximum production capacity at the FPSO Alexandre de Gusmão platform. The facility now produces 180,000 barrels of oil per day.

The platform operates in the Mero field within the pre-salt Santos Basin. Mero currently ranks as the third-largest producing field in Brazil.

Petrobras operates the asset as part of a consortium including Shell, TotalEnergies, CNPC, and CNOOC.

The milestone aligns with the company’s strategy to expand high-value pre-salt output. Management expects the increased production to bolster corporate cash flow.
