Pfizer has granted Medicus Pharma an exclusive worldwide license to co-develop and commercialize its early-stage antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), PF-08046031. [3, 4, 8] The drug, also known as CD228V, is an asset that targets melanotransferrin (CD228) and originated from Pfizer's acquisition of Seagen. [1, 7]
The agreement includes a $12 million upfront payment to Pfizer, with an additional $15 million due on the first anniversary. [3, 4] While Medicus assumes control of development, Pfizer is eligible to receive over $1 billion in potential milestone payments related to development, regulatory, and sales achievements, in addition to tiered royalties on net sales. [2, 5] Pfizer will also contribute $2 million to fund initial development activities. [3, 8]
