France’s domestic intelligence agency (DGSI) will replace Palantir Technologies’ data analysis software with a solution from French firm Chapsvision. The transition occurs only six months after the DGSI renewed its contract with the US-based Palantir.
This shift reflects a broader European push for digital sovereignty to reduce reliance on American technology for critical infrastructure. The decision aligns with a larger national strategy to bolster the domestic technology sector.
The French government also announced a €655 million investment in artificial intelligence through 2030. This initiative includes the development of a unified, sovereign chatbot to streamline administrative work for all state services.
