Pony AI and South Korean firm Future-Link signed a strategic partnership to commercialize Level 4 robotaxis in Seoul. The companies aim for a full commercial launch by 2028. They plan to expand the service to other major South Korean metropolitan areas following the initial rollout.
The agreement transitions existing technology trials in Seoul's Gangnam district into full commercial operations. Pony AI will supply its seventh-generation autonomous vehicles and core technology. Future-Link will manage local certification, market entry, and service operations. The initial deployment involves 200 robotaxis.
This collaboration marks Pony AI’s first major expansion beyond its established Chinese operations. Both companies are considering a joint venture to support long-term growth in the South Korean market.
