PPL Corporation is managing one of the most severe storm-related outages in its history. Powerful storms swept through Pennsylvania over the July 4th weekend.
The weather event left more than 100,000 customers without power. Downed trees and power lines caused extensive damage across the company's service area.
Restoration efforts continued through Monday. Tens of thousands of customers remain without electricity.
Lancaster and Cumberland counties represent the hardest-hit regions. PPL mobilized crews from Canada and affiliated companies to assist in the recovery.
