ProKidney Corp. completed patient enrollment for the Phase 3 PROACT 1 efficacy analysis of its cell therapy, rilparencel. This pivotal trial evaluates the treatment in patients with advanced chronic kidney disease and type 2 diabetes. The company expects to report topline results in the second quarter of 2027.
ProKidney reported a net loss of $46.4 million for the second quarter of 2026. This figure represents a wider loss compared to $37.0 million in the prior year. Research and development expenses increased to $36.1 million from $25.9 million. Higher costs were primarily driven by the PROACT 1 study.
