Roblox Corp. reached a $35.8 million settlement with attorneys general in West Virginia, Alabama, and Nevada. The agreement resolves allegations that the platform failed to protect children from predators and dangerous interactions. A portion of these funds will support child safety education initiatives.

The company committed to implementing mandatory age checks for all users. Roblox will also monitor accounts to identify users who provide false age information.

New restrictions prevent adults from messaging users under 16 unless they appear on a trusted friend list. The platform must also provide safety guidance to minors the first time they enter a private chat.
