Rubrik acquired identity orchestration firm Strata Identity on June 9, 2026. The company announced the deal at the Rubrik FORWARD conference. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The transaction targets identity-based threats, which Rubrik identifies as a primary concern for security leaders.
The acquisition powers Rubrik’s new Identity Continuity service. This tool maintains authentication by automatically failing over to secondary identity providers during cyberattacks. The capability allows businesses to keep critical applications online during recovery from identity system compromises. These features are currently available in private preview.
