Repsol agreed to sell a 49.99% stake in a Spanish renewable energy portfolio to Abu Dhabi’s Masdar. The transaction values the 705 MW portfolio at €849 million.

The assets consist of 13 wind farms totaling 402 MW and six solar plants totaling 303 MW. These facilities will become operational throughout 2025 and early 2026.

Repsol is executing this sale to rotate assets and finance its low-carbon generation business. The acquisition supports Masdar’s goal of reaching 100 GW of global renewable capacity by 2030.

The deal is expected to close by the end of 2026, pending regulatory approvals.
