Rheinmetall’s joint venture with KNDS, ARTEC, secured a contract worth nearly £1 billion from the British Army. The agreement covers the supply of 72 RCH 155 remote-controlled howitzers. This procurement replaces AS90 artillery systems previously provided to Ukraine.

Production will occur at Rheinmetall’s facility in Telford, UK. The contract supports approximately 500 jobs in the British supply chain. First deliveries of the new systems are scheduled for 2028.

The deal reinforces defense cooperation between the UK and Germany. Bernstein Research lowered its price target for Rheinmetall following disappointing quarterly results. Analysts cited rising investor caution regarding conventional technology amid the growth of drone warfare.
