Rivian Automotive raised its full-year 2026 delivery guidance following a stronger-than-expected second quarter.
The electric vehicle maker now expects to deliver between 65,000 and 70,000 vehicles this year. This updates the previous forecast of 62,000 to 67,000 units.
During the second quarter, Rivian produced 12,613 vehicles and delivered 12,194. These figures exceeded the company's quarterly delivery guidance of 9,000 to 11,000 units.
Production ramp-ups for the R1 and commercial van lines drove the performance gains. The company also began initial deliveries of its new, lower-priced R2 SUV. Management indicated that production bottlenecks are easing as operations scale for the mass-market R2.
Rivian will release its full second-quarter financial results on July 30, 2026.
