RTX Corporation secured a contract worth up to $833 million for RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) Block II production. The U.S. Department of War announced the agreement on April 29. Deliveries of the air defense systems will continue through September 2030.

The procurement was fully funded at the time of the signing. The U.S. Navy will receive 50% of the total missile order. The remaining half will support international partners through the Foreign Military Sales program.

Recipient nations include Australia, Canada, Germany, and Spain. This contract reinforces RTX’s position as a primary provider of critical air defense for the U.S. and its global allies.
