RTX’s Pratt & Whitney division secured an order from BOC Aviation for up to 220 GTF engines at the Farnborough International Airshow. This agreement represents BOC Aviation’s largest-ever purchase from the engine manufacturer.

The deal will power as many as 110 Airbus A320neo family aircraft. This contract extends a 29-year partnership between the two companies.

The agreement was originally signed as an undisclosed deal in June 2025 and officially confirmed at the airshow. Pratt & Whitney’s Geared Turbofan engines reduce fuel consumption by 20%. These engines also feature a 75% smaller noise footprint than previous generations.
