Swedish defense firm Saab AB secured a SEK 10.1 billion ($1.04 billion) contract for two GlobalEye surveillance aircraft. An undisclosed Middle Eastern nation placed the order. Saab expects to deliver the aircraft in 2030.
The GlobalEye platform provides long-range detection and identification across air, sea, and land domains. CEO Micael Johansson noted that rising international interest validates the system's role in modern air defense.
The deal significantly expands Saab’s order backlog. This contract provides the company with long-term production visibility.
