Schneider Electric joined SoftBank Group as a strategic partner for a major AI initiative in France. SoftBank plans to develop up to 5 GW of AI data center capacity. This project represents a potential investment of €75 billion.
The partners will establish a large-scale industrial production cluster in Dunkirk. Schneider Electric will operate a facility to integrate data center power modules. SoftBank will manufacture enclosures within the cluster to create a localized European supply chain.
