China’s ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) increased its global DRAM revenue share to 10% in Q2 2026. This figure more than doubled from the 4% share recorded during the same period last year.
The combined market share of incumbents Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron fell from 94% to 87% year-over-year. Samsung remains the market leader with a 39% share. SK Hynix holds the second position at 26%, while Micron ranks third with a share between 24% and 25%.
Counterpoint Research reported these shifts occurred despite substantial year-over-year growth in the total memory market. The rise of CXMT represents a significant challenge to the long-standing dominance of the top three suppliers.
