Speculation regarding an initial public offering for Solidigm intensified after a U.S. asset manager filed a pre-registration for a company-specific ETF. This move signals growing Wall Street interest in the SK Hynix subsidiary. Solidigm was established following SK Hynix’s acquisition of Intel’s NAND and SSD business.

SK Hynix is currently exploring a pre-IPO fundraising round to support a potential Nasdaq listing. The company intends to use the capital to finance U.S. expansion and meet rising AI-sector demand for enterprise storage.

While an August regulatory filing stated that no plans are finalized, SK Hynix committed to providing a formal update by September 4.
