SK Telecom, Japan’s NTT, and Taiwan’s Chunghwa Telecom established the IOWN Fund. This global investment vehicle targets up to US$500 million for the artificial intelligence sector.

The fund invests across the full AI stack, including infrastructure, semiconductors, software, and services. Key focus areas include photonic technologies, AI processors, advanced packaging, and distributed AI infrastructure management.

A new management firm, Catalight Capital, Inc., will operate from Silicon Valley and Tokyo. This entity will identify and support startups to accelerate the commercialization of next-generation AI technologies.
