Samsung Electronics and Arm have partnered to develop next-generation on-device AI System-on-Chips (SoCs). This collaboration targets the advanced 2nm mass production process.
The initiative aims to shift AI computing power from cloud data centers directly to smartphones and terminal devices. Arm will provide AI accelerator architecture and design technologies. Samsung will oversee chip design integration, manufacturing, and commercialization.
Arm shares rose approximately 2.5% in U.S. pre-market trading following the announcement.
