SpaceX plans to launch a Starlink mobile service for U.S. consumers. President Gwynne Shotwell reportedly disclosed the strategy to investors during a recent IPO roadshow.

The move places the company in direct competition with telecom leaders Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. SpaceX is considering a retail product and the construction of its own terrestrial mobile network to support the service.

This initiative leverages existing Starlink satellite infrastructure to enter the multi-billion dollar U.S. mobile market. The project represents a significant expansion of the company's consumer-facing business.
