Spotify launched a conversational AI assistant that allows users to interact with the app through text or voice commands. The beta feature enables Premium subscribers to engage in back-and-forth conversations to discover music, podcasts, and audiobooks.
Users can request new artists, refine suggestions for specific moods, and save songs directly. The assistant also provides details on listening history without requiring users to exit the current interface.
This tool integrates into Spotify's broader AI strategy, which includes existing features like AI DJ and AI-generated playlists. The company aims to make content discovery more interactive and personalized through this capability.
The beta is currently rolling out to eligible Premium users aged 18 and older. The release covers iOS and Android platforms in the United States, Ireland, and Sweden.
