Stellantis will invest more than €1 billion in its German brand, Opel, by 2030.
A significant portion of the capital is allocated to the main production plant in Rüsselsheim.
The Rüsselsheim facility will manufacture the next-generation Astra model using the electrified STLA One platform.
Opel will also construct a new global headquarters and a Stellantis German base on a grEEn-campus in Rüsselsheim.
The brand plans to launch at least four new models by 2030, including successors to the Astra and Corsa.
